Mr. Ciklin returned to Florida in 1971 to begin his law practice as an assistant Palm Beach County attorney. He later became director of the Palm Beach County Planning, Zoning and Building Department, was named deputy county attorney in 1974, and was active in the development of Palm Beach County's land use and zoning codes, and Comprehensive Plan.

A graduate of Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio, he received his law degree from Ohio Northern University, and has been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, U.S. Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court Mr. Ciklin's outside interests include weight training and physical fitness.
