Associate Jessica Callow received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration cum laude from Truman State University, which she attended on a full academic scholarship. She graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law after spending a semester externing in Tallahassee for Justice Raoul Cantero of the Florida Supreme Court.
In law school, Jessica was executive director of the 2002 University Career Development Conference where she oversaw five committees and a team of students selected to effectuate a conference created to educate students on current issues in the legal field and encourage student/attorney networking. As executive director, Jessica also obtained funding, coordinated attorney and employer involvement and facilitated student attendance.
In addition to externing for the Florida Supreme Court, Jessica’s prior experience includes interning with the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit of Florida and serving as a teaching assistant with the University of Florida’s law school.
Jessica is actively involved in the Levin College of Law’s Law Alumni Council and is currently serving on the Executive Board of the Board of Trustees as the President Elect for the Craig S. Barnard chapter of the American Inns of Court. She is a Past-President of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Palm Beach County chapter, and is the author of “New Legislation Update: Commercial Real Estate Lien Act,” Palm Beach County Bar Association Bulletin (September 2005).
In July 2009, Jessica completed a three month stint as a Special Prosecutor for the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s office where she was selected as one of six attorneys for the inaugural class and gained valuable bench and jury trial experience prosecuting misdemeanors on behalf of the State of Florida. Jessica also co-chaired the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s first Diversity Summit and Luncheon in September 2009, which featured Chief Justice Peggy Quince of the Florida Supreme Court as its keynote speaker.
Jessica was named by the Florida Trend publication as a Legal Elite Up and Comer for 2010 and a 2010 and 2011 Florida Rising Star by the Super Lawyers publication. Jessica served as co-chair of the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Committee for Diversity and Inclusion from 2010 - 2011 and also became a member of the Florida Council of Bar Association Presidents in 2010. Additionally, during the Summer and Fall of 2010, Jessica served on the steering committee for the Florida Bar Foundation’s Palm Beach County Fellows campaign.
Jessica’s practice focuses on commercial litigation and includes the areas of mortgage foreclosures, commercial lien law, landlord tenant law, corporate law and governmental land use issues. She is admitted to practice law in all Florida state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the United States Supreme Court.
